This assignment involves the identification of a significant healthcare issue that could be addressed and improved through legislation. Aligned with the area of focus, the student will thoroughly research the given healthcare topic and propose a piece of healthcare-related legislation that will effectively address the identified issue. Other areas (eg: clinical, financial, public health, promotion, future cost savings, etc.) should also be included in the narrative. The health legislation should not be already introduced into any state or federal legislative body. The health policy legislation should be 8 -10 pages, 12-font, double spaced, exclusive of a table of contents, executive summary, bibliography, and exhibits. The well-written legislation will be organized, comprehensive, accurate and realistic, identifying a significant healthcare issue that will be addressed by the proposed legislation. The link between the healthcare legislation and issue must be expertly researched and presented, driving the reader to a clear “call to action” the target population must be presented, displaying extraordinary research that makes the compelling case for the targeted groups. The narrative must comprehensively address funding and/or expenses, and the narrative should analyze and present those that may support or oppose the legislation. Legislative proposal should be creative in addressing a significant issue and be realistic as supported by the narrative. The paper must be superbly organized and presented including the essential elements expertly applying the uniqueness of the project. Narrative must be written in third-person in a tight and crisp manner in APA format.
